About
Kate Maddison-Greenwell is an actor based in Yorkshire. Her work moves between sharp comedy and emotionally demanding drama.
Kate has acted since childhood. Raising her son on her own took her into a corporate career, and when he turned 18 she threw herself back into acting. She brings that life experience to the stage, along with an instinct for characters who are holding more than they show.
In 2026 she played Amanda in Noël Coward's Private Lives and Josie in Rona Munro's Iron, both at Ilkley Playhouse, and Dr Agnetha Gottmundsdottir in Bryony Lavery's Frozen at Bingley Theatre. On screen, she has appeared in the short films 100% and Come Home, both directed by Leona Klocke.
Alongside her stage work, Kate works extensively as a roleplay actor for corporate training, which has sharpened her improvisation and her ability to hold a character under pressure.
In 2024 she co-founded Rise & Howl Collective with Paula Boyle, a theatre company championing new writing and underrepresented voices.
